Many vitamins do not dissolve quickly enough (20 minutes or less) to be used by the body. To test, place vitamins in a glass of water. If they don't dissolve within 20 minutes or so, they are likely not going to be absorbed by your body. This book helped me to understand that not all vitamins are the same, and, that some of the most popular vitamins may not be fully absorbed.
