They enjoy throwing the dice and dig the sound of dice jostling about in the container. It does assist with basic math skills--at least a little--and draws on the competitive instincts of young boys in particular. Sometimes, with really antsy children, I let them stand and toss their dice against the wall which adds to their enjoyment. Besides, the price of the game just can't be beat.
